The final pitch of the Pillar of Wisdom, Wadi Rum
This November was spent in the desert of Jordan in Wadi Rum. Laurence of Arabia passed through here after traversing the desert and the Bedouin still live here. We used Rum village as a base and also bivouaced in the desert climbing in Barrah Canyon.
We climbed the Beauty (6A), the Pillar of Wisdom (6B+), Flight of Fancy (6B+), Black Magic (6A), Lionheart (6B+), Merlin’s Wand (6A), Rumeur de la Pluie (6A+) and the Star of Abu Judaidh (6B+).
