This is a rolling list of things I get up to during the winter season of 2019/20. I’ve had an extended hiatus this Autumn climbing in Greece and Spain, working in Antarctica in November as well as procuring a Swedish racing yacht for future expeditions and adventures!

I have some availability in April for ski touring.

January

Vallee Blanche by the Gros Rognan – skis to Chamonix at the moment

Col d’Encrenaz, Aiguilles Rouges (twice)

Thule (4) and Valmiana (4) ice climbing in Cogne

Vormaine Couloirs, Le Tour

Pointe de la Pierre, Aoste

Aiguilette des Houches via le Brevent and Carlaveyron. Powder to the car.

Pointe Noire de Pormenaz via the Brevent and Chorde Couloir

Mount Colmet 3024m NE Face via Col Saint Charles and descend to Arpy

Col de Beugeant, Aiguilles Rouges

Petit Envers Vallee Blanche

Argentiere Glacier and the Capucin des Rouges du Dolent

Crochue – Berarde traverse

Petit Croise Baulet & drive to the High Val Maira for 4 days of untracked descents

M Viraysee 2838m – 5 hour trail breaking session

Bric Boscasso 2589m and descent via the Cumbal Vallonetto

M Baret 2306m and descent via the Canale North West

An 8 day ski touring expedition into the Taurus Mountains of Turkey

The 2020 ski season has effectively been finished by the Coronavirus pandemic.
